You Should Go Snowboarding

You should go snowboarding because it is a wonderful sport. When I go snowboarding, I can get closer to my friends. Sometimes, I can wake new friends on the lift. Also, snowboarding lets me relax as I go down the mountain. Although it is a little scary for beginners, it is really exciting. Whenever, I go snowboarding, I usually invite many of my friends to go with me. Before we arrive to the ski resort, we discuss about snowboarding in the car. Because many of my friends are beginners, I have to teach them how to go snowboarding. So, snowboarding make my friends and I get closer. Also, sometimes, I can meet new friends on the lift we usually talk about the snow conditions and our experience of snowboarding. In addition, When I go snowboarding, I always forget stress because I just feel my snowboard and I. I can’t think of other thing as I go down the mountain because I have to concentrate to go snowboarding. After I arrive at the bottom of the mountain, I feel comfortable, free, and easy. So, snowboarding lets me be relaxed and lose my nervousness.

The First Experience of Snowboarding

What is my best experience? I think that might be my experience of snowboarding because it is really exciting and interesting. Before coming to Seattle, I had never seen much snowboarding in my life. I got my first experience of snowboarding in Park City in Utah. It was snowing on Thanksgiving Day. Before that day, it hadn’t snowed yet in Salt Lake City, so I was so happy in that morning. Meanwhile, my friend brought me to Park City, and we took the lift to the top of the mountain. My friend taught me how to brake down the snowboard and how to stand up, and then he left me on the mountain and went snowboarding by himself. “What?? He just left me alone?? I am a novice in snowboarding. How can I handle the snowboard”, I thought. Anyway, I had to survive by myself. Therefore, I tried to stand up and go snowboarding even though I fell down many times. Finally, I succeeded to go snowboarding down the mountain. When I could do it well, I was so happy to go snowboarding. I believe that I will not forget the first experience of snowboarding forever.

Whistler Blackcomb

There is a special place for me which is called Whistler. It is a ski resort in British Columbia, Canada. This place is special for me because I really like to go snowboarding. So it is the Neverland for me, or for someone who likes to go snowboarding. Therefore, I would like to describe my experiences and what Whistler looks like.

The first time I went to Whistler with three of my friends, it was a sunny day. Although we lived in Vancouver, Whistler was still far from Vancouver, so we woke up early and drove to there. When we arrived at Whistler, I was shocked because there is a really beautiful and huge village. In the village, there are many shops, restaurants, and hotels. When you walk through the streets of the village, you can see many people going shopping and visiting stores. Also you might feel you are in Europe because their buildings are European style. In the stores, all their products are ski and snowboarding stuff, or souvenirs. After you go snowboarding, you can eat the delicious foods and stay in a luxurious hotel.

Introduction

Hi! Everyone, my name is sky. I am from Taiwan which is a small country, but I think it is a most convenient country in the world. Before I came to Seattle, I was working in the military service for my duty. Now, I study in Seattle Central Community College for my English because I want to attend regular class or university in the future. After graduating from university, I hope I can attend master degree or work in the U.S. I love to live in Seattle because this is a wonder for city which has a lot of outside activity. For example, I can go snowboarding in Snoqualmie which is near Seattle. Snowboarding is one of my favorite sports. It is really exciting for me because there is not much snow in Taiwan. When the first time I went snowboarding, my skill was really poor. My friend brought me to the top of the mountain which is called Park City. It is one of great ski resort which had been holding Olympic game. I was really scared, but after first round, I felt interested and wanted to go again. So if anyone liked to go snowboarding, please going with me, we will have a good time for snowboarding.
